Project Implementation Progress Status

On March 10, the project implementation progress status was presented at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia for the Center of Excellence (CoE) under the Vocational Education Programme I. The meeting was attended by Valerian Gobronidze, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Lidija Christmann, Head of Development Cooperation at German Embassy and the representatives from KfW, Skills Agency Georgia, TVET Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, ESIDA and PEM Consult.

The aim of the meeting was to present the project implementation progress and discuss the current issues that need urgent attention and decision-making. The detailed business plan model and its implementation timeline, architectural design and list of qualifications and occupations to be offered by the CoE was once again discussed and agreed upon.

The next key milestones in the project implementation are (i) the finalization of architectural design and (ii) the adaptation of 16 German educational standards into the Georgian context and development of related syllabus as a step in the preparation for the CoE authorization.
